The customer is a leading sustainable fuels technology company on the cutting edge of accelerating the energy transition to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Problem
The global airline industry has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. To hit this aggressive target, airlines need to transition to SAF, blending traditional jet fuels with a bio-fuel alternative that emits less carbon. Since all airlines are transitioning to SAF, current supplies will not meet the growing demand. This need created a perfect business opportunity for our customer.
Solution
One of the challenges the customer faced was tracking the fuel coming in and going out of the facility. To track their renewable energy tax credits, the customer needed to measure the incoming ethanol against the output SAF to calculate a net yield. These calculations require precise metering, blending and measurements provided by Toptech System’s Multiload II+.
The customer also implemented TMS Flex – Toptech’s terminal management system designed for smaller operations. TMS will provide the data needed for loading and off-loading product at the loading bays, as well as helping manage site operations to increase efficiency.
